Guest Napper #129 – Under the ZZZZZ

It’s Monday. Which of us isn’t secretly wishing we could hide behind our desk and have a nap?

Things are no different in Ninja Mom’s home office. Her son Roo has wrapped himself up all mermaid-like in his sister’s Ariel blanket and chosen a quiet spot in which to ignore his work. I mean HER work.

Drowning Under a Sea of Work

I’ve accumulated a lot of naps on this blog, and I’m beginning to notice a trend in this generation. They’re not afraid to do what we all dream of, but never had the guts to pull off: Stop, drop, and nap right in our place of work. It’s better than fighting the afternoon slump and ending up like this.

What would happen if you closed your door, got out your own Disney blanket, and let the sea of work wash over you? Peaceful office surf.

I like it.

Bonus Feature for Monday! I have been interviewed by Keesha over at Mom’s New Stage! If you’re curious about the mom behind the madness, stop by and check out all the great interviews this great blogger has done…including one with Ninja Mom, herself.

  1. Need to build a bed under my desk like George Costanza

  2. Never understimate the power of an Ariel blanket.

  3. Love the office nap and all it symbolizes. Mom, your work is a snooze. I will not be ignored and now you will work quietly mwooo-ha-ha-ha. I love you so much I don’t want to miss a minute of basking in your loving maternal genius. And thanks for the shout out!

  4. God, I wish my kid would nap. Anywhere, really. My office. The laundry room. The basement. Whatever. Just NAP AND GIVE ME A MOTHER LOVIN BREAK, please.

    Ok, rant over.

Love your office, Ninja Mom. So official and professional looking. ;-)

  5. That makes me want to take a nap right now, or at least convince the baby to take one. Unfortunately there isn’t enough clean floor space in my office for either one of us to stretch out. Sad but true.

  6. Roo looks delightfully comfy cozy. But what I really want is the contact info for Ninja Mom’s housecleaners.

  7. I like to think that this nap was taken while she was talking to us on facebook.
