Ding, Dong, the Deck’s a Bed

Contrary to what this photo would suggest, I do not encourage my children to sunbathe.  I also do not lock them on the deck in their pajamas and force them to take outdoor naps.  Behind giant flowerpots.

It seems that, following in his brother’s footsteps, my four-year-old couldn’t resist the siren song of the sauna-like boards of the deck.

I’m melting!

Open your eyes and get out of bed, people.  Naps Happen al fresco.

  1. Your kids never cease to amaze me. C’mon, tell me what you put in their sippy cups!

Seriously. We’re such boring nappers at my house…but if they do sleep, you can bet they’re probably naked!

  3. I love how he is just OUT, like he ran right out of gas in that corner. I always think outdoors would be a fantasticc place to nap, but I’m never comfortable in the chairs or on the ground. Bring my bed out and I’d probably sleep for the entire day. But on my face behind a flower pot? Probably not.

  4. He looks so comfy. Ah, to be able to fall asleep anywhere. I an envious!
